It is in despair that we have wokenWith shattered bits that are a tokenSmall reminders that we are brokenMend our heart is what we’ve spoken Lessons learned have made us warySo that our dreams appear to be airyMany memories we still try to buryBut a desire to forgive we do carry We hang on to many an ancient feudOne of the faults that we have accruedAnd other sins that we should includeDespite them all, can we be renewed Have we come to a point of no returnFrom moving in life without concernFrom all our choices what did we earnTo be pardoned is what we do yearn Throughout our lives we did portrayAnd now on bended knees we prayThat God will help us find our wayOur doubt and fear slowly fade away The anger, guilt, and shame decreasesWe will leave them all in little piecesOur time comes and the pain releasesDeep in our heart the love increases
